Why guess when you can know? The Lab by Paul Maurer Golf utilizes Trackman, SAM Putt Lab, K-Vest and FocusBand to analyze each element of my students’ game: swing, putting, biomechanics and mental game. I also use a stat tracking application to provide my players with information regarding on-course performance and develop practice plans.
TrackMan
TrackMan allows golf professionals to track what happens at a critical moment in time: the moment of impact between club and ball. The TrackMan golf radar not only helps map these key data parameters - ball speed, attack angle, club path, face angle, etc. - it also captures the golf swing with a built-in HD video camera or with the use of external cameras. Radar technology (also called a portable golf launch monitor or swing analyzer), is an integral part of today’s golf instruction. Whether it is used for golf swing lessons, analysis, or club fitting, the golf radar and software are suited to be used by professional trainers, coaches, and players; as well as golf beginners. The golf radar can be used outdoors as well as indoor in a golf simulator environment. With TrackMan’s virtual Target Practice Range, you can practice any shot you want - from short game to long drives, and recreate any shot you might experience on the course. You can also play and practice on courses such as PGA National and St Andrews.
HackMotion
The HackMotion sensor gives golfers real-time feedback about one of the most important aspects of their body and a new level of clubface control. The largest variation in a golf swing shot-to-shot is most often the clubface. Controlling the clubface effectively can be the difference in watching your golf ball sail out of bounds or finding the middle of the fairway. The HackMotion sensor provides immediate feedback for golfer’s lead wrist as they swing the golf club and gives players a better idea of what their optimal lead wrist conditions are and can provide improvements on clubface control and up to 80% of the starting direction of your golf shots.
BodiTrak
The BodiTrak pressure mat captures the center of pressure, balance and weight transfer data during a swing. It uses groundbreaking sensor fabric designed for healthcare applications. Through its versatile and intuitive software, the BodiTrak System gives the ability to understand and coach positioning in real time through immediate data and video feedback. The BodiTrak system is a great learning tool because it provides you the visual and kinesthetic feel you need to feel the proper motion of the golf swing. The BodiTrak has wireless technology so it can be used at the range, different lies on the golf course, putting green, short game, and even in the sand trap. Most importantly, it can provide the coach information that the eyes can’t see!
SAM Putt Lab
SAM PuttLab is the world’s most accurate and comprehensive putt analysis, coaching and training system. This technology analyzes all important parameters of your putting stroke and displays the results in user-friendly graphic reports. The analysis reveals the smallest details of your movements and allows you to develop improvements and training strategies.
K-Vest
The K-Vest wearable motion-learning system translates your swing into a 3D on-screen representation. I will work with you and this powerful new technology to come up with a training program that can have a huge impact on your game. You can learn more at k-vest.com, and watch the video below to see it in action.
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.
